How Nashville Analytics handles website and client data
Nashville Analytics (“NA,” “we,” “us”) is a data and analytics consulting firm based in Nashville, Tennessee. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, and the choices you have. It covers two things: visitors to our website, and the data we handle when we work for clients.
The two are treated differently. For website visitors, NA decides why and how information is used. For client data, the client decides, and we act on the client’s written instructions under our engagement agreement. If the two ever conflict, the engagement agreement controls for client data.
We collect only what you give us or what your browser sends when you visit.
We do not ask website visitors for Social Security numbers, financial account numbers, or health information. Please do not send them to us.
We use website information to answer your questions, schedule conversations, send the updates you asked for, understand which pages are useful, keep the site secure, and meet legal obligations. We use business correspondence to scope and propose engagements.
We do not sell personal information. We do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not use website visitor information to make decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects on you.
When we build reports, data models, or pipelines for a client, we may work with data that includes personal information about the client’s customers, donors, members, students, or employees. Our rules for that work:
Engagement agreements may set stricter terms, including data processing terms. Those terms apply in place of this section.
If you subscribe to our newsletter, we collect your email address. We use it to send the newsletter and related Nashville Analytics updates. We use MailerLite to collect subscriptions and send our emails, so MailerLite processes your email address on our behalf. We do not sell your email address. You can unsubscribe at any time by using the link in any email, or by writing to info@nashvilleanalytics.com.
Our website uses cookies and similar technologies to remember preferences and to measure traffic through a web analytics service. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site will still work, though some features may not.
We honor the Global Privacy Control signal and similar browser-based opt-out signals where our tools support them. We do not respond to “Do Not Track” headers because there is no common standard for them.
We share personal information only in these cases:
We do not sell personal information to anyone.
We keep website inquiries and business correspondence for up to three years after our last contact with you, then delete them unless we need them for a legal or accounting reason. Newsletter addresses are kept until you unsubscribe. Client data is deleted or returned at the end of the engagement, as the agreement specifies.
We protect information with multi-factor authentication, encrypted storage and transmission, role-based access, and the removal of access when people leave or an engagement ends. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
You can ask us to tell you whether we hold personal information about you, give you a copy, correct it, or delete it. You can unsubscribe from any email using the link in the message. To make a request, email us at the address below. We will confirm your identity, respond within 45 days, and tell you if we need more time.
Tennessee residents have additional rights under the Tennessee Information Protection Act where it applies: to confirm and access their data, correct inaccuracies, delete it, obtain a portable copy, and opt out of targeted advertising, sales, and certain profiling. If we deny a request, you may appeal by replying to our decision, and we will respond to the appeal within 60 days. If you are unsatisfied with the result, you may contact the Tennessee Attorney General’s office.
We will not treat you differently for exercising any of these rights.
Our services are for businesses and organizations. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.
We will post any change to this policy on this page and update the date at the top. If a change materially affects how we use information you have already given us, we will notify you by email where we have your address.
